# Marketplace payments: pay your vendors directly with Core Checkout

|| Summary: With Core Checkout, each payment on your marketplace is credited directly to the vendor concerned, without going through your account. This article explains how it works today, and what is not yet available.

Your vendors get paid directly, not through your account

=============================================================
The customer picks an item, adds it to their basket and proceeds to checkout. They are redirected to the hosted payment page, choose a payment method and pay. Your server receives a confirmation callback, and the funds are transferred to the vendor, not to the marketplace.

Transaction fees are deducted from the vendor’s payout: the vendor receives the amount paid minus fees.
Add a vendor

=================
Vendors are onboarded by the Core team. This is not self-service. Each vendor goes through the same KYC process as any Core Payment merchant, unless they are already onboarded with Carlo or Core Payment.
1. The Core team enables the “multiple receivers” option on your partner account.
2. You send us each vendor’s name, email address and KYC documents.
3. The vendor completes the KYC process, as a standard merchant would. If they are already a Carlo or Core Payment customer, this step is skipped.
4. The Core team creates the vendor and assigns a unique **Receiver ID**.
5. The vendor appears in your Partner Dashboard, under Checkout > Vendors (name, email, Active or Inactive status). This page is read-only.

Route each payment to the right vendor

===========================================
Add the vendor’s `receiverId` to your `POST /transactions` request:
json
```
{
 "amount": 120.00,
 "successUrl": "https://www.yourdomain.com/success",
 "failedUrl": "https://www.yourdomain.com/error",
 "orderReference": "order-5001",
 "receiverId": "receiver_abc123"
}
```
If no `receiverId` is provided, the transaction is associated with your partner account by default. The vendor’s name then appears in the **Recipient** column of the Transfers page in your dashboard.
What is not available yet

==============================
* **Multi-vendor baskets**: a payment is credited to a single vendor. If a customer buys from several vendors in one basket, the amount cannot be split automatically between them.
* **Marketplace commission**: it is not yet possible to collect your own commission at the time of payment.
Both require additional development. If they are critical to your project, talk to our team: support@corebycarlo.com

Frequently asked questions

===============================
**Do the funds go through my account?**
No, they are credited to the vendor.

**Do my vendors need to go through KYC?**
Yes, in the same way as any Core Payment merchant. Vendors already onboarded with Carlo or Core Payment do not need to repeat it.

**Can I create vendors myself?**
Not today. The Core team handles onboarding, including KYC.

**What happens if I don’t send a** **`receiverId`**__?__
The payment is associated with your partner account.
